In a significant drug bust on September 3, 2024, Sub-Inspector Humayun Kabir of Mira Bazar ROP, under Kaliganj Police Station, apprehended two individuals based on a tip-off. The accused, identified as Rahim Sk (18), son of Mintu Sk, and Abdur Rahaman (18), son of Ikbal Mondal, both residents of Kulgachhi under Palashipara Police Station in Nadia, were caught with 515 grams of heroin.

The operation was conducted in the presence of the Joint Block Development Officer (BDO) of Kaliganj, with DySP (D&T) overseeing the search and seizure procedures. The arrest and recovery were made in connection with Kaliganj PS Case No. 759/24, dated September 3, 2024, under Sections 21(C) and 29 of the NDPS Act.
