The suspects were travelling in a four-wheeler when they were intercepted. Upon searching the vehicle, authorities found the Tokay Gecko (Takkhak). The individuals were unable to produce any relevant documentation for the animal and admitted to transporting it for illegal sale in the open market.

Given the severity of the offense, as the Tokay Gecko is a schedule animal under wildlife protection laws, a case has been initiated against the apprehended individuals.
